price

What would this application cost, and what are the price schemas.

Some decisions to make at this point.

  • We should focus on distance, not time. Because then you get questions about traffic congestion.
  • If we do optimize on time, there should be a disclaimer about congestion.
  • Don't purely try to be a price fighter, too many customers enlarges the maintenance costs.
  • If needed, later on add a budget option. That is better than upping the price for existing customers.
  • Budget option would be scheduled later or on slow hours, etc...

Take notice at the tone at this site(s). Very gloomy and transporters don't earn big margins.

Some numbers in that article :

  • km per year : 150.000
  • per week (48 weeks) : 3.125
  • average speed : 60 km/h
  • 50 hour workweek (3000 per week)
  • driving saving fuel : 3 km/ litre
  • less saving fuel: 3.3 km/ liter
  • diesel price 1.97, article from 200* says 1 euro. It will only be above 2 euro probably from now on.
  • repair + maintenance : 9.000
  • deprecation : 16.000
  • interest : 2.500
  • telephone costs : 4.000
  • costs for overnight stay: 7.000 (48 weeks, 5 days, 25 euro per day)
  • Accountant, office, permits en unforeseen 15.000 euro per year.

Total 106.000 euro per year + drivers payment 55.000 = 161.000 48 weeks, 240 days, 150.000 km :

3.354 euro per week 671 euro per day 1,07 euro per km

With varying drivers payment that could be different. At 10.000 (MUCH too low!) you get :

0.77 euro per km.

But already diesel is much more expensive :

Article : 150.000 kilometre : 3,3 = 45.455 liter at average 0,907 = 41.227 euro

When inflation gets down somewhat : 150.000 kilometre : 3,3 = 45.455 liter at average 1,5 = 68.182 euro

reality 2024 150.000 kilometre : 3,3 = 45.455 liter at average 1,97 = 89.546euro

Lets take 71.227 for a rounding sum. Then we add 30.000 to the total. so 136.000 Also a bit more realistic pay for the driver (20.000) 156.000

De transporters website says : 1.10/km as costs ex btw

visit

conclusion :

1.00 euro / km is low. as costs ex btw 1 km less driving at least saves diesel : 1 / 3.3 * 1.97 : .57 euro make that en even 50 ct per km

If we 'take' 10 ct/km how much does a transporter earn from use per year ?

150.000 km = 80.000 euro

Suppose 10.000 km less by our code : would cost the transporter 1000 euro but he makes on diesel alone 5000 euro.

So let's start with 9ct/km we can always go down !!
